Privacy Policy

READYWARE ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use the READYWARE Android application and related services at readyware.net.

Information We Collect

READYWARE is designed to work primarily on your local network with minimal data collection. Here is what we collect and why:

  • Remote Access registration: When you enable Remote Access, we store a device token, a hashed PIN, and your device name on our server (readyware.net) to enable the Web Viewer feature.
  • Web Viewer profile: When you tap Sync Web Remote, your remote control layouts, button positions, wallpaper images, and icons are uploaded to our server to display in the Web Viewer. This data is stored only while Remote Access is enabled.
  • FCM push token: We use Firebase Cloud Messaging (Google) to deliver button commands from the Web Viewer to your device. This requires storing your device's FCM token on our server.

Information We Do NOT Collect

  • We do not collect your name, email address, or any personal identity information.
  • We do not collect location data.
  • We do not track your usage, behavior, or analytics.
  • We do not collect information about the devices you control.
  • We do not sell, share, or monetize any data.
  • We do not display advertising.

Local Network Operation

READYWARE operates primarily on your local WiFi network. IR and RF commands are sent directly from your device to BroadLink hardware on your network. No IR commands, signal data, or control actions are transmitted to our servers unless you use the Web Viewer feature.

IR Signal Database

The Smart Codes Wizard fetches IR signal data from readyware.net. These requests contain only the device type and brand name you are searching for — no personal information is transmitted or stored.

Web Viewer (Remote Access)

When Remote Access is enabled, your remote control layout and images are stored on our server at readyware.net to allow browser-based control. This data:

  • Is protected by a 4-digit PIN of your choosing
  • Is deleted when you tap Reset Link or disable Remote Access
  • Is stored on our server only as long as Remote Access remains enabled

Third-Party Services

READYWARE uses Firebase Cloud Messaging (Google) for push notifications required by the Web Viewer feature. Google's privacy policy applies to FCM data. See Google Privacy Policy.

Data Retention

Remote Access data (device registration and Web Viewer profile) is stored on our server until you disable Remote Access or tap Reset Link, at which point it is permanently deleted.

Children's Privacy

READYWARE is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Updates will be posted at this page with a revised date. Continued use of READYWARE after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
